Lamorinda Gynecology & Surgery is looking for a physician who wants to work part-time in a flexible environment, while keeping up their office and surgical skills. We offer a work environment different from the inflexibility and bureaucracy of corporate medicine, giving you a unique work-life balance. At Lamorinda Gynecology andd Surgery, you can practice medicine and engage with patients and our local community, while having the flexibility and time you need for yourself and your family.

About Lamorinda Gynecology & Surgery

  • We are an innovative physician-owned private, out-of-network practice in the heart of Lamorinda, within a thriving, supportive community. Our niches are surgical gynecology, menopause, and sexual medicine. We do not perform obstetric care.

  • We see a maximum of 15 patients a day, giving us the time to focus on each person individually without any rush.

  • The staff includes our physicians Dr. Prabakar and Dr. Christianson; a full-time medical assistant who manages communication, scheduling, and patient intake; an administrator who works remotely to provide daily support and submits all insurance claims, and a virtual social media assistant. We also use an automated scribe to ensure that all our notes are completed before we leave the office.

  • We have a supportive surgical team with access to 4 Da Vinci surgical robots in the hospital system. We operate out of Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, Berkeley and Oakland campuses.

  • We provide ample opportunity to network and prioritize professional growth. 

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Board-certified gynecologist or urogynecologist

  • Trained on the robotic platform

  • Interested in a part-time position, starting at 2 days/week with the opportunity to build to 3-4 days/week

  • Enthusiastic about practicing medicine, operating, and working within a collaborative team

  • Has a strong worth ethic and a desire to personally and professionally develop in this role

About Medical Director Dr. Cheruba Prabakar

Dr. Cheruba Prabakar is a board certified OBGYN, fellowship trained minimally invasive surgeon, and a certified menopause practioner through the North American Menopause society. After almost a decade in corporate medicine, she decided to pursue her dream of running her own private practice. She founded Lamorinda Gynecology & Surgery in October 2022, to provide boutique gynecologic care to women through all phases of life. She focuses on quality over quantity and enjoys this practice model. She is looking for an excellent physician to join her team!
